Big News

Just wanted to share some good, no, great news with everyone. Last week in a span of two days, both Katie and I were offered, and accepted news jobs! Katie will be teaching at Mission Elementary and I will be working for Wells Fargo. It has been a long time coming and we are both excited and very happy! Thank you for all the prayers over the past few months!

Max congratulating me on the new job.

Concrete Pour at the Kaesers

Woke up dark (dark because it was 5:45 am!) and early on Saturday morning to help Mike pour some concrete around the casita up in Fallbrook. Seeing how I am a banker and not a construction guy, I was a little out of my element and felt like a rookie sent up to the big leagues!

Trying to look like I am doing something...

After finishing the pour, I did the only thing I knew how, clean the boots before the cement dried!

Burritos and beer at 8:30! Awesome!

Bloggers Note:

I tried to go back and upload some pictures that some of you may have not seen before. I used a new program on my mac to upload the pictures, so that is why there are only 4 pictures per post. Enjoy!

Cancun Honeymoon

We headed to Cancun for a delayed honeymoon during August and had a great time. We stayed at the Grand Mayan and enjoyed all that the hotel and surrounding areas had to offer. Here are some pictures from our trip.

The Grand Mayan Pool

Bummer, I couldn't drive my shopping cart down the stairs.
(Must be popular to do in Cancun)

The Grand Mayan Lobby

The view from my lounge chair at the pool.

We took a day trip to Xcaret, an amazing park with underground rivers, animals, snorkeling, dolphins, and lots of other stuff to do and see. The tour guide told us that there was no way we would be able to see everything in a day and was more than right! We highly recommend visiting Xcaret if you ever go to Cancun!

The coulds were amazing.

This was a church that looked normal on the outside, but once you went inside, it was like nothing I had ever seen.
(More on that later)

Another day in paradise

This is the inside of the church from the earlier pictures.

The pulpit was surrounded by water, and we found a way to the other side through some crazy tunnels.

I felt like Indiana Jones when I was crossing these floating stones. The third one was a little loose and almost put me in the water.

On the last day we decided to walk around the resort and check out the beachs down the way from the hotel.

Will you marry me?

This is the day I proposed to Katie at the cliffs in the Torrey Pines State Reserve.

I set my camera up on a post and took this picture moments before I popped the question.

Saturday Outing

After back to back weekends of awesome weddings, we didnt have ANYTHING to do this fine Saturday. So what better to do than go and check out the fine city of Del Mar in which we reside. Mind you this is probably the third or fourth time in 5 months that we have ventured down to the beach which is less than a mile from our place! That said, I took my camera with us to snap some pics.
Not sure what that mysterious black line is in the picture... UFO?

Katie enjoying her free starbucks and her favoirte place. The beach!
Oh, there it is again! Can you find it? (I'm talkin about the mysterious line)

Another search and find! What am I taking a picture of???

We then walked up the hill to a farmers market and got delicious horchata and some flowers for Katie to decorate the house with!

Good times.

That's it for now.

Emili and Jimmy's Wedding Part II

Please see the following blog: Lisa and Scott Zaballos

She did a great job of putting together the pictures. I'll work on something else that I have pictures of, but have not had the time to put up!

Adios

P.S. Congrats to Emili and Jimmy!
